Allison leaves for the train to Stamford at 4:45 am for her first job, while her 7-year-old and 12-year-old daughters sleep. Her older daughter gets the younger ready for school before they are picked up by a neighbor at 7:15 am.

United Way of Western Connecticut launched the public phase of the Pathways to Prosperity Campaign in August of 2021 to help the hardworking, struggling families we call ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) who live in Southern Litchfield County, Northern Fairfield County, and Stamford. 

It is with deep sadness that we mark the passing of Danbury’s great philanthropist and businessman, Dr. Peter Buck.
