Connecticut Social Equity Council’s Reimagine & Revitalize (R2) Program
United Way Coastal and Western CT is serving as grant manager for Danbury, Norwalk, and Stamford. Funding is available for eligible community-based organizations supporting economic development, reentry, and youth initiatives.

The CT State Dept. of Education has opened the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Grant application for the 2026-27 school year to support afterschool programming in districts serving low-income students. Applications due July 8th.

Wakeman BGC Cowboys Summer Speed Clinics
July 1st – July 29th (see exact dates below) | 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Central High School Kennedy Stadium
The Wakeman Boys & Girls Club Cowboys are hosting free Summer Speed Clinics for youth entering 3rd through 8th grade, open to all skill levels. Held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Central High School’s Kennedy Stadium on multiple dates in July, the clinics focus on speed, agility, footwork, and conditioning. Led by the Wakeman BGC Cowboys coaching staff, these sessions provide a fun and supportive environment for young athletes to build fundamentals and get a preview of the Cowboys football program—no equipment, fees, or membership required.
