ALICE Advocate - July 14, 2025 Edition

TAKE ACTION

UWCWC Federal Policy

We joined 400+ United Way advocates in D.C. for the 2025 Advocacy Forum and Hill Day—just as the passage of H.R. 1 makes our work more urgent. The bill slashes funding for Medicaid, SNAP, and other vital programs, threatening millions and putting entire communities at risk.

On Capitol Hill, we called for investments in 211, child care and early learning, AmeriCorps, and Full-Service Community Schools to support ALICE families—all as part of the fall appropriations process.

Guided by Policy as Partnership, we’ll continue strengthening relationships in communities and with decisionmakers to drive lasting change.

Visit UWW’s Advocacy Center to take action on our federal policy priorities today.
