TAKE ACTION

Child Tax Credit

With less than a month left in the legislative session (ending June 4), state leaders are deep in negotiations over Connecticut’s budget.

The CT Child Tax Credit has strong support—from House Democrats to the Blue Collar Caucus (video + website). —but it’s still at risk of being scaled back or cut under pressure.

This is a policy we know works. It puts money directly into the hands of working families, eases the burden of rising costs, and strengthens local economies.

We can’t afford to let it fall off the table. Let’s keep the pressure on.

Send a note or make a call to your state legislators in the areas where you live and work TODAY.

  • Whether they are a champion or a nay-sayer, they need to hear from you right now, so they understand that this remains a priority for families and our organization.
  • Check our FAQs if you're not sure what to say or just share the positive CT Insider survey with them.
  • If you want to add information about what % of families with children in their district will qualify, it's all here on our map.
