TAKE ACTION
Child Tax Credit
As we move through the final 4 weeks of the legislative session, bills and budgets will be negotiated and heard on the floor. The CT Child Tax Credit is included in the budget proposal, but that does not guarantee that it will pass as-is at the end of session June 4th.
We’re closer than ever — let’s finish strong! We can create a meaningful CT Child Tax Credit that uplifts families and communities.
Please take 5 minutes to send them a short handwritten note → Find your state legislators and send mail to Rep./Sen. [last name], Legislative Office Building, Hartford, CT 06106-1591. Thank them for supporting the Child Tax Credit and tell them what a $600/child tax credit would mean to your family and community.
Thank you for your support!
Federal Impact and State Planning
Has your business, nonprofit or town been impacted by federal policy and funding actions? Share your information in the state’s online reporting tool as soon as possible.
Data will be compiled and provide state policymakers with a better understanding of how federal directives are affecting various groups, geographical regions, and sectors of the economy. This information is critically important for state planning in response to the evolving federal climate. The legislature is likely to enter a special session this summer/fall, as federal decisions impact our state.
